A couple of student groups at Kettering University are staying up for a 48 hour marathon of volleyball beginning Friday night.
The Alpha Phi sorority and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Kettering have teamed up to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer."
The event starts Friday at 6 p.m. and runs through 6 p.m. Sunday.
The volleyball competition will be played on a sand volleyball court in front of the fraternity house on Sunset Boulevard near Bradley.
Organizers said there are various events, including live music, a car wash and food, planned throughout the weekend.
