Man In Hammer-Shooting Case Appears In Court 7-23-2010

The Pinconning man accused of shooting an Essexville woman in her home will be back in court Friday.
Stanley Milostan, 61, is facing several charges, including intent to murder.
Milostan claims he acted in self-defense after the victim, Amy L. Borieo, allegedly hit him in the head with a hammer.
Borieo was hospitalized for a time due to her injuries.
On March 15, officers were dispatched to house in the 1600 block of Hudson Street in Essexville around 8:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found Borieo with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release issued by Essexville Department of Public Safety.
Milostan was also found suffering from a head injury, from what officials believe may have been caused by the hammer.
Borieo’s 9-month-old baby was inside the house at the time of the incident, but was not harmed.
Borieo has been ordered to appear in court today, after her request to testify via closed circuit TV was denied. The hearing is set for 1 p.m.
