Man Finds Marijuana Plants Growing On Property 7-26-2010

The Huron County Sheriff’s department confiscated several dozen marijuana plants after a homeowner discovered the seedlings growing in his own backyard.
Daniel Walz and his wife, of Fairhaven Township, told deputies they noticed 4-wheeler tracks heading into a field that belongs to him next to his house.
After doing an investigation on their own, the couple found several plastic flowering pots with large green plants inside them.
Walz contacted police, who confirmed the pots were filled with pot.
In all, the deputies confiscated about 50 marijuana plants from the property.
The plants were turned over to the Fairhaven Township Police Department for further investigation.
