Campaign To Restore Saginaw Landmark Begins 7-30-2010

A local group is looking to restore the more than century old Jeffers Memorial Park in downtown Saginaw.
The group, the Michael Jeffers Memorial Fountain and Park Committee, is launching a $100,000 campaign to bring the 4,320-square-foot park back to its original design.
The park sits at Federal and East Genesee and was dedicated in 1906.
Committee members will be collecting donations at Saginaw’s Friday Night Live free concert series through the rest of the summer.
