Week-Long Ramp Closures Part Of US-10 Project 8-03-2010

The Michigan Department of Transportation is scheduled to close the eastbound West River Road on- and off-ramps to US-10, beginning Tuesday.
Roadwork includes resurfacing ramp entrances, completing an eastbound driving lane from Mudd Creek to M-30 and repaving ramps.
Officials said the work, which will be completed with traffic detoured, is expected to wrap-up next week by Aug. 11.
The overall project is part of a $16.3 million resurfacing, ramp reconstruction, drainage and guardrail improvements effort, which extends seven miles from M-18 east to the Sanford Lake bridge in Midland.
Motorists traveling eastbound on West River Road will be rerouted to M-30, then travel to Saginaw Road, where they can resume travel on West River Road.
US-10 eastbound traffic will use M-30 on- and off-ramps to access US-10 and West River Road.
