Serial Stabbing Victim's Mother Speaks To TV5 8-10-2010

While Flint-area shelters are working to keep the homeless safe from the reach of a serial stabber, one of the workers at a shelter has a deeper connection to the case.
Barbara Embry's son was one of the stabber’s victims. Embry works at My Brother’s Keeper, a men’s shelter near downtown Flint.
Flint Police have told her that her son David Motley was the first stabbing victim on May 24.
“The officers came down here, when they told me, it was like, ‘that was my baby,’” said Embry. “And his birthday was just about to come up, 31-year-old, but he was still my baby.”
