Possible 17th Stabbing Victim Comes Forward 8-11-2010

Police are looking at the possibility of a 17th person attacked by a knife-wielding serial killer in the Flint area.
Members of the latest victim's family to come forward, Herman Taylor, randomly showed up at a Wednesday morning news conference held by the police task force leading the investigation.
The victim's family said Taylor is in critical condition after being stabbed in the face Saturday. Taylor was walking home and passed someone on the sidewalk when he felt a sharp pain, according to police.
Taylor's family said he lost an eye in the stabbing.
Michigan State police and local investigators said they're looking for a white man responsible for the attacks from May 24 to Aug. 7. Federal and state law enforcement agencies trying to track down the killer have been reluctant to disclose details of what they've found out.
The suspect is in his early 30s, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2, and 180 to 210 pounds.
He has been linked to a dark green GMC Jimmy or Chevy S-10 Blazer with tan trim, with a model year ranging from 1995 to about 2000.
Additionally, he has a large metal rod-type piercing in the upper left ear.
Survivors said the attacker has mostly approached black men seeking directions or help with a vehicle.
