Police: Woman Might Lose Eye Sight After Attack 8-13-2010

A 49-year-old Bay City woman who was assaulted by another woman early Friday morning may lose eye sight in one eye, according to police.
Officers from the Bay City PD were dispatched just before 2:30 a.m. to E. Midland Street and N. Linn Street for an assault complaint.
Police said when officers arrived they observed that victim was bleeding “profusely” from her left eye. Bay Regional Medical Center paramedics arrived and transported the woman to a hospital.
Police said the woman told officers that she got into an argument with a woman and was subsequently assaulted by her.
The victim's injuries are severe enough that she may lose sight in her left eye, according to police.
It appears the two women did not know each other.
