Trail Camera Catches Burglars 'Red-Handed' 8-13-2010

Saginaw authorities have arrested two men they say are responsible for more than 50 break-ins in seven counties across Mid-Michigan.
Duane Thompson and Richard Redmond, both of Clio, are behind bars at the Saginaw County Jail on charges of burglary and home invasion.
Investigators said a trail camera used to catch wildlife caught the men in the act using crowbars to break into an Albee Township home.
The homeowner had placed the heat and motion activated camera in a tree and caught the suspects pulling up to the house in a red pick-up.
Authorities said the men stole jewelry, cash and drugs. "Both of these guys are hardened criminals," said Saginaw County sheriff Bill Federspiel.
Saginaw County sheriff's officials said jurisdictional teamwork between other police and sheriffs agencies resulted in the arrests.
The pictures helped lead investigators to one of the men's home in Clio.
