'10 Back To The Bricks Car Festival Underway 8-17-2010

Thousands of people will be visiting Genesee County beginning Tuesday night to celebrate Flint's automotive history.
Organizers of the sixth annual Back to the Bricks Cruise Festival hope to attract more than 250,000 car enthusiasts to South Saginaw Street in downtown Flint.
The festival lasts until Saturday evening and will attract hot rods and classic cars, not only from Michigan, but from all over the county.
STORY: New Parking Rules In Effect For Festival
One of the event's highlights is the two-day rolling car cruise, which stretches 13 miles from Flint to Grand Blanc Township on Wednesday and Thursday. The rolling cruise runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day. About 25,000 participants are expected to attend.
Local business owners are also eager to see what the Back to the Bricks crowd will do for the economy. Last year, more than 200,000 people attended the five-day festival.
WNEM TV5 will have complete coverage of the 6th annual Back to the Bricks Cruise Festival during our newscasts.
