Pro-Life Backers Honor Slain Owosso Activist 8-19-2010

Demonstrators have gathered in Owosso in honor of a fallen pro-life advocate.
James Pouillon, from Owosso, was gunned down by Harlan Drake last fall because of how he displayed his beliefs.
Members of the group Missionaries to the Preborn gathered earlier on Thursday to distribute literature and protest abortion outside the city's Planned Parenthood clinic in an effort to make sure Pouillon's message is not forgotten.
"Children don't deserve to die," said group member Matt Trewhella. "They deserve to live and we have our children with us, we are mothers [and] fathers. We are parents."
While the march is protected by the First Amendment, not all those passing by agreed with the group's displays.
"I think it's disgusting that they are having little children protest and seeing these graphic signs," said New Lothrop resident Miranda Otto. "There are other ways to go about this."
The group is assembling again right now at the intersection of M-21 and Shiawassee, where Pouillon used to protest before he was shot down in front of an Owosso High School.
Missionaries to the Preborn is making a dozen stops around the state.
