CMU Computer Glitch Stops Registration Process 8-19-2010

Central Michigan University is in a bind thanks to a computer glitch. The system that handles class registration and payments is down.
That means students trying to change their schedules or make tuition payments are out of luck and classes start on Monday.
The university said the problem started when the computer system was rebooted improperly after being shut down for routine maintenance.
"This had nothing to do with the flooding from last week," said university spokesman Steve Smith. "Until the system comes back up, the students won't have access to those services."
It's unknown when the network will be back up and running.
