School System Offers Free Tuition For Semester 8-23-2010

Bay Area Catholic Schools officials are trying a unique approach to attract more students.
The Catholic school district is offering free tuition until the end of the first quarter in October.
According to the Bay City Times, students can leave after that without paying anything.
School officials have been promoting the free education through billboards and handouts around Bay City. As a result, school officials said they've seen a 5 percent increase in new enrollment so far.
The paper said about 300 more can be enrolled before the district reaches its capacity of 900 students.
The first day of school for the district is Sept. 7.
