Police ID Genesee Co. Home Invasion Suspect 8-31-2010

A man wanted in connection with a Monday night home invasion in Genesee County that left two people injured has been arrested.
Clayton Township police identified the man as 19-year-old Brian Rutter. He is not expected to be arraigned until Wednesday.
Police said Rutter lived in the same neighborhood as the victims.
The violence unfolded just after 9:30 p.m. Monday at a home the 1400 block of Houston Drive in Clayton Township.
Police said a 31-year-old woman and her 19-year-old brother were both shot inside the home by an intruder.
The woman was last listed in critical condition. Her brother is also being treated at a local hospital, police said.
Rutter was arrested sometime around 3 a.m. Tuesday. He was lodged in the Genesee County Jail.
Authorities said in a release Tuesday they believe the shooting was motivated by a drug-related altercation between one of the victims and Rutter.
