Red Flag Warning Lifted For TV5 Viewing Area 9-07-2010

The National Weather Service in Detroit, in coordination with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment, issued a red flag warning which iwas in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The counties under the warning included Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, Shiawassee and Tuscola.
The combination of southwest winds between 20 and 25 mph, relatively low humidity and dry conditions will create the possibility for hazardous fire weather through Tuesday evening.
The NWS said conditions improved around 8 p.m. as relative humidity values increase and winds start to decrease in speed.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or could shortly.
A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures created explosive fire growth potential.
