Police Arrest 4 In String Of Larcenies, Vandalism 9-08-2010

Deputies from the Midland County Sheriff's Office said they've arrested four people in connection with a string of larcenies and vandalism complaints that have been plaguing the county for the past two months.
The people were found after a Larkin Township resident reported people outside his home, and a short time later, deputies stopped a vehicle pulling out of the Sunrise Baptist Church parking lot.
Police said following an investigation, the four people were detained and evidence believed to be related to the crimes was seized.
The four, a 21-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman are residents of the city of Midland. The fourth person is a Mills Township resident. All of them are currently in the Midland county Jail awaiting arraignment.
Deputies said the four are believed to be behind 40 to 50 larcenies and destruction of property complaints. Police said they did several thousand dollars worth of damage to property, and thus far authorities have recovered about $5,000 worth of stolen property.
Police said anyone missing property stolen from a vehicle or home should contact the sheriff's department at 989-839-4093 as they may be able to locate the missing possessions.
Midland Sheriff Jerry Nielsen said the department continues to investigate the larceny incidents.
