Charges Dismissed In Woman's Sex Bribery Case 9-08-2010

The Tuscola County prosecutor said charges have been dismissed against a female inmate accused of using sex to bribe a Sheriff's deputy in Tuscola County.
The alleged incident took place July 5 during a transfer between the Genesee County and Tuscola County jails.
The woman, who was in custody at the time, was able to escape sometime after that transfer occurred.
Troopers with the Michigan State Police and K-9 unit were involved in the search that took place near the intersection of M-15 and Willard Road.
The escaped inmate was eventually taken back into custody where she remains lodged in the Tuscola County Jail on a parole violation.
The prosecutor said investigators with the Michigan State Police in Sandusky continue a criminal investigation into the alleged sex act involving the sheriff's deputy.
The deputy accused in the case is no longer employed with the Tuscola County Sheriff's Department. He resigned shortly after being put on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
