3 Arrested In Statewide Safe-Cracking Scheme 9-09-2010

Three men from northern Michigan have been arrested in a safe breaking scheme.
Authorities said most of those thefts happened right here in Mid-Michigan.
Jamie Seaman, 30, Aaron Rettelle, 36, and 28-year-old Christopher Marek are charged with breaking and entering and racketeering.
The three are accused of breaking into safes at big box stores like Menards and Home Depot in Genesee County and across the state.
Investigators said the men cut the phone lines and power to the surveillance systems before using grinders to get into the safes.
"A safe job is a little different than a B & E," said Mt. Morris Township Police Chief Scott McKenna. "This is something that, these guys know what they're doing and they were very good at it."
