State Police Probe String Of Armed Robberies 9-10-2010

Michigan State police are investigating a string of armed robberies that occurred at four different convenience stores in three counties.
The attacks began Wednesday night at the Admiral gas station on South Saginaw Road in Midland. Investigators said a thief brandished a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
Early Thursday morning, another bandit was captured on video surveillance robbing the Speedway gas station on Court Street in Saginaw.
Just an hour before that heist, police said a gunman struck the 7-Eleven store on Weiss Street. In that robbery, a man made off with cash, beer and cigarettes, police said.
The fourth occurred late Thursday night at the 7-Eleven on Midland Road in Auburn, across from Western High School. Police said the thief escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.
Investigators are working to determine if the crimes were committed by the same suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police.
