School Principal Injured After Driver Hits Deli Store 9-16-2010

Police are investigating a crash where a motorist ran into a business in Pinconning Thursday.
The crash occurred just after noon at the Third Street Deli, 302 S. Mable Street.
Roger Fritz, the principal of Standish-Sterling High School, was sitting at a table inside the Pinconning eatery when police said an elderly woman drove her car into the building.
Four students were with the principal at the time of the accident. A female student was taken to the hospital for a knee injury.
The Standish Sterling Schools superintendent confirmed that Fritz was taken to Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City.
The hospital told TV5 he was conscious, complaining of back pain -- but listed in good condition.
