Hampton Township Skeletal Remains Identified 9-20-2010

Police said they have identified the remains of a man's body found Friday night in Hampton Township, a few hundred yards from Knight Road, near the Saginaw Bay.
WNEM TV5 spoke with the Hampton Township Police chief and the doctor who conducted the autopsy.
Authorities said at this time, it appears the man's death was a suicide by hanging.
Dr. James Varani, who conducted the autopsy, said that the condition of the remains makes it very difficult to pinpoint an exact cause of death.
The Bay City Times reported on Monday that the Bay County Sheriff said the body must have been there for at least four to six months.
The bones were discovered late Friday in a wooded area east of Knight Road.
Authorities said they know the man's identity, but are waiting to release that information until all of his family has been notified.
