First Warn 5 Weather: Storms Roll Through 9-21-2010

Wind, rain, thunder and lightning swept through Mid-Michigan late Tuesday night.
TV5 Chief Meteorologist Darrin Bradley said the main concern with this storm system were locally heavy rain and strong winds.
Strong blasts of lightning were visible across the evening sky as early as 8:30 p.m. and humidity in the Tri-Cities climbed.
A cold front advancing from the northwest was the main driver behind the strong thunderstorms.
Rainfall amounts were not available as of 11:30 p.m., but sporadic bursts of water drenched much of Mid-Michigan.
The system will slow down as it moves over Mid-Michigan, maintaining the threat for showers and thunderstorms overnight, even though the severe weather threat diminished just after sunset.
"It looks like the rest of the week will be rather unsettled," said Bradley. "We have a chance of storms through Friday."
