Parts Of Genesee County Remain Without Power 9-23-2010

Tuesday's thunderstorms are still keeping Consumers Energy crews busy as 5,300 customers across the state remain without service.
One of the hardest hit areas, Genesee County still has 735 customers unable to turn on a light. The utility company said many of those affected customers may not have electrical service restored until Friday.
Tuesday's storms knocked out power to more than 141,000 Consumer customers statewide, a news release said.
DTE Energy Co. said only 700 customers in Sanilac County remained without power as of Thursday morning.
Crews there are expected to have it restored later today.
WNEM TV5's meteorologist Mike Cameron said a few isolated thunderstorms could occur later; however most of the day will be rain-free and breezy.
