Bay City Man Charged In Underage Sex Case 9-23-2010

A well-known Bay County business owner faced a judge on Thursday in connection to an underage sex case.
Bay City business owner Mark Bennett has been charged with seven counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, which involves penetration, and three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The 37-year-old is accused of having sexual contact with a girl who is 14 or 15.
Bay County Prosecutor Kurt Asbury said the incidents occurred at Bennett's home from January to September.
Despite the wishes of Bennett's attorney, the judge set a $150,000 bond for Bennett.
When TV5 asked Bennett's attorney about this case, she said she had no comment.
A preliminary exam is set for early October. Bennett owns Wolverine Appraisal Services in Bay City.
