Historic Durant Hotel Reopens In Downtown Flint 9-24-2010

After 37 years of vacancy, the historic Durant Hotel reopened.
A grand opening was held Friday afternoon.
Several organizations came together for a the $30 million renovation, which includes a grand lobby, a ballroom, 93 apartments and more than 20,000 square feet of commercial space.
Officials said 54 apartments have already been rented out.
The hotel first opened in 1920 and was named for William C. Durant, the founder of General Motors.
