Flint's Famous 'Sit Down Strike' Marker Defaced 10-04-2010

FLINT, Mich.-- A historic memorial for the famous 'Sit Down Strike' has been vandalized sometime over the weekend.
Police said someone poured or sprayed black paint on the plaque, which is located on Chevrolet Avenue.
The 'Sit Down Strike' is credited for changing the UAW into a major union. The strike occurred from 1936 to 1937.
This is not the first time vandals have struck at this site.
The most recent vandalism occurred in July when someone painted over both sides of the memorial.
