Local Narcotics Teams Receive Federal Grant 10-06-2010

The Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team is one of several state agencies expected to get part of an $8.3 million federal cash infusion.
BAYANET will receive more than $245,000 to continue its works in Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Isabella, Midland and Saginaw counties.
The funding comes from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.
The Thumb Narcotics Unit will also receive more than $100,000 to continue its operations in Huron, Tuscola, Lapeer and Sanilac counties.
