School District Warns Parents Of Strange Man 10-07-2010

The Davison School District has notified parents of a "suspicious incident" that took place Tuesday afternoon.
According to school officials, an older man in his late 60s or early 70s was seen sitting in his van watching children play Wednesday afternoon in the Chestnut Hills Subdivision.
The man and his vehicle, a red van with black pinstripes and ground effects, matches the description in another suspicious incident that was reported Sept. 16 by Kearsley Community Schools.
Molly Polzin told TV5 her daughters were playing hide-and-go-seek with neighbor children Tuesday evening when she looked outside and realized someone else may have been watching the kids play, too.
She said she noticed a suspicious man parked in front of their house, sitting in his van eating a hamburger. She said something about the situation didn't feel right.
"I told him it wasn't a good idea, and he said he wasn't causing any harm," said Polzin. "I told him I didn't believe him and then escorted the neighbors home, brought my girls inside and he drove away."
Parents told TV5 they're shocked that anyone with ill intentions would come into the neighborhood. They also said a number of police officers live in the subdivision and patrol cars roll through quite often.
The Davison School District has asked parents to keep an eye out for any kind of suspicious activity.
