Flint Principal Suspended For Second Time 10-08-2010

For the second time in a year, a local high school principal is on administrative leave, apparently after some sort of incident with another school employee.
School officials placed Fred White, the principal of Flint Northwestern High School, on paid administrative leave Tuesday after a co-worker filed a complaint against him.
The school district is refusing to go into details about the suspension, and in fact they're saying so little, their spokesperson said that no one could be made available to talk on camera to TV5 about it.
School spokesperson Bob Campbell finally told TV5 over the phone that the school is conducting an internal investigation and that the incident does not involve a student.
Campbell would not reveal the position of White's accuser. The little bits of information being released by the administration is not satisfying some in the community who are demanding answers.
"If no one knows what's going on, then how do we know what's going on with our kids in the schools?" asked one resident TV5 spoke with on Friday. "Being publicly funded, they're definitely obligated to let the community know what's going on."
"Yeah, the school should tell people about it," said another resident.
This isn't the first time White has found himself under suspicion. Last October, the principal was suspended with pay as police investigated the claim that he choked a student at school, but no charges were ever filed.
Authorities said surveillance video failed to turn up any proof.
The district is conducting an internal investigation and has put the assistant principals in charge pending the outcome.
