Midland Expected To Make Cuts To Curb Budget 10-13-2010

Officials in Midland say layoffs are expected in order to help close the gap on the projected deficit for the 2011/2012 fiscal year.
The city is facing a $2.6 million shortfall for the fiscal year beginning July 1.
Right now it's not clear how many workers could be out of a job.
WNEM TV5 reported the cuts will depend on the number of employees that decide to retire.
