Morning Power Outage Leads To School Closures 10-14-2010

Lapeer Community Schools say Lapeer West High School and Rolland-Warner Middle School is closed Thursday because of a localized power outage.
Communications Specialist Mike Arnholt said Kids & Co. will remain open. It is housed in a wing of the building that was not affected by the outage.
All classes are expected to resume Friday.
UPDATE: Despite the power outage earlier today, parent-teacher conferences at both West High School and Rolland-Warner Middle School are still scheduled to take place this evening.
It is anticipated that power will be restored in time to host the parent conferences.
After-school activities at West will take place, including athletic practices and contests. The parent meeting about the Washington, DC, trip for Roland-Warner students also will take place as scheduled.
