Nexteer Automotive Hiring 100 New Engineers 10-15-2010

Following its recent sale to a Chinese auto manufacturer, Nexteer Automotive is seeking to expand its supply of engineering brain power.
General Motors sold subsidiary Nexteer to China's Pacific Century Motors in July.
The Buena Vista Township-based auto parts maker said the need is due to increased demand for its electric power steering equipment.
About 100 engineer openings are hopped to be filled by the end of 2010.
"We're had a good response so far," said Nexteer's Sarah Maday. "We continue to see resume's come in, we continue to post new positions on our website, almost on a weekly and daily basis."
Most positions call for a bachelor's degree in either electrical or mechanical engineering and some require a master's.
The company has been scouring career fairs and college campuses for the last three months and has hired about 25 people so far.
All the new hires are expected to be based at Nexteer's headquarters in Saginaw County.
