Northwood Touts Record Turnout For Auto Show 10-18-2010

MIDLAND, Mich.Northwood University announced on Monday about 59,000 people attended the student-organized auto show over the weekend in Midland.
The school also said the record attendance helped pump $3 million into Midland's economy.
The 47th annual event occurred the same weekend as the school's homecoming.
On display were cars from a large cross-section of automobile manufactures.
Sports car highlights included a Corvette ZR-1, Audi R8 convertible, two Ferrari's and a Porsche Carrera GT, one of 1,270 produced.
Also present at the event was a display by Caterpillar in which large construction equipment was opened to spectators.
The show allowed attendees to view the vehicles up close and even sit inside most of them.
