Drunken Drivers To Be Classified As 'Super Drunk' 10-19-2010

Beginning later this month, there will be two types of drunken driving offenses on the books in Michigan.
The standard drunk, and the super drunk.
A new law is going into effect at the end of October means first-time offenders whose blood alcohol level is over .17 percent will face stiffer fines and penalties.
If caught, they could be ordered to pay up to $8,000 in fines, serve 45 days in jail and be required to install an in-car Breathalyzer.
The legal drunken driving limit in Michigan remains at .08 percent.
VOTE: Do you think the state's new Super Drunk law will have an impact on drinking and driving in Mid-Michigan?
