Ex-Mich. Justice Says She Recorded Colleagues 10-26-2010

LANSING, Mich.Former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Weaver said she recorded her fellow justices in 2006 while discussing cases with them.
Weaver made the surprising disclosure on a website as she escalated her feud with Justice Robert Young Jr., who is seeking re-election.
Weaver provided a transcript of a May 2006 court conference to www.delayedjustice.com.
She said she was countering Young's explanation of how he used the N-word.
He acknowledged last week that he used the racial slur in 2006 during a heated discussion about a case. Young is black.
Young said he believes Weaver participated in the conference by phone and may have broken Michigan law by recording conversations without consent.
A message seeking comment was left for Weaver Tuesday. She quit the court in August.
