Capac Schools Close Following Nearby Shooting 10-28-2010

Capac Community Schools are closed Thursday due to “a building safety issue,” according to a recording on the district’s main phone line.
St. Clair County deputies said that one person was shot and wounded just before 6:30 a.m. about 100 feet from the the middle-high schools.
Police said the victim walked out of his home to find his vehicle's tires had been deflated.
A 38-year-old Emmett man has been arrested in connection to the shooting. The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital with two gunshot wounds.
Officials said the shooting had no connection with the schools.
Capac is a village in Mussey Township. According to the last census report, the population there was 1,775.
