The Republican Women of Genesee County are hosting a program on identity theft with a speaker from the Genesee County Sheriffs Department on Monday, November 8 at the J. Porters Restaurant located inside the Holiday Inn Gateway Center. The event is free and open to the public.
During the holiday season it is important for people to be conscious of the dangers that exist with identity theft. From credit card theft while out shopping to Internet scams it is important for people to protect themselves against these threats. The sheriffs department will give attendees practical advice to avoid having this happen to them.
People are invited to purchase dinner at J. Porters prior to the speaker at 6:00 p.m. The speakers program will start at 7:30 p.m. Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by November 3 to Silvia Martin at firstname.lastname@example.org. J. The RWCA of Genesee County is a womens political group which hosts educational programs as part of their community outreach efforts. The group is involved with other volunteer projects including sending coupons to military families overseas and volunteering time with political campaigns.
