Man Surrenders In Driveby Slaying Of Flint Boy, 6 11-03-2010

Flint police said they have arrested a man wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 6-year-old boy on the city's west side on Monday night.
Police said 25-year-old DaVontrae Benton turned himself in to authorities in the presence of his attorney on Wednesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant.
Authorities said an argument over a $60 loan led to gunfire and the fatal shooting of Jonaries Holden.
Holden died a hospital after being struck by at least one bullet fired at a car driven by his father about 10:15 p.m. Monday.
Police said Benton pulled up alongside the father's car and started arguing with him over $60.
Benton was arraigned Thursday on six charges, including open murder and multiple charges of assault with intent to murder.
Benton is being held behind bars because a judge has denied him bond. He'll be back in court Nov. 9.
Mayor Dayne Walling called the child's death a "terrible tragedy."
There is a fund at Citizen's Bank set up for the family. A candlelight vigil will also be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Flint Park and Aubrey Street.
The shooting was Flint's 55th homicide of the year, and the fourth victim under the age of 18.
Holden's twin brother, Quinares, and a 2-year-old in the car were unhurt.
