TV5 Investigates: Banks Skip Out On 'Hardest Hit' 11-10-2010

A fund aimed at helping Michigan homeowners avoid foreclosures has received nearly $500 million since February. Michigan’s Hardest Hit program is designed to help unemployed and underwater homeowners.
Right now, dozens of Mid-Michigan banks have signed up to receive the money, but many are finding troubles with the program because larger lenders are not on board.
TV5 has learned -- those Wall Street banks, the same one that took billions of dollars in government bailout money -- are the ones saying no.
