Flint police are investigating after a woman's body was discovered Tuesday morning on Flint’s eastside.
Police arrived at the scene near the corner of Leith Street and Minnesota Avenue around 5:30 a.m.
Authorities said the woman was in her 20s and homeless.
Residents near the scene said the woman had spinal bifida and used a walker to get around.
TV5 talked with a friend of the woman’s who said she didn’t deserve to die in the streets.
“At first I didn’t think it was her, until I saw the walker, then I knew it was her,” Teresa Carney said.
