Confiscated Cadillac Added To Sheriff's Fleet 11-22-2010

The local sheriff's department has added a Cadillac to its fleet after the vehicle was confiscated in a drug bust.
Now officials plan on using it to uphold the letter of the law instead of allowing it to be used to break the law.
The 2003 Cadillac CTS may not be brand new, but it is the Saginaw County Sheriff’s department’s newest crime fighting tool.
Writing on the sides of the vehicle state "Taken From a Cocaine Dealer."
Authorities said the car was confiscated from a Saginaw County drug dealer about eight months ago.
The department already owns the most talked about patrol car in the state, a 2007 Ford Mustang, taken from a Bridgeport drug dealer.
Sheriff Bill Federspiel had that fact painted on the Mustang, which reads 'Taken from a Local Drug Dealer' on the side.
Taxpayers TV5 talk to said this is a great way put a fleet of vehicles on the street without it costing the department.
However, not everyone agrees with the sheriff's methods. Many Mid-Michigan residents do not approve of using the repossessions in such a way.
