Police Find Student Behind Merrill Bomb Threat 12-01-2010

Investigators said they've figured out who's behind a bomb threat at the Merrill middle and high school campuses.
Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel said it was a middle school student who left a note on the wall of a boys' bathroom Tuesday, saying there was a bomb in the building.
Authorities said on Tuesday the note read, "THARE IS A BOM IS SCHOOL."
No explosives were found after bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to search the campus. Federspiel said deputies interviewed students and staff to get to the bottom of the scare.

The schools were on lockdown for more than an hour and classes resumed around noon. It will now be up to the school board to decide how the student will be disciplined.
It’s unknown if any charges will be filed against the unnamed student.
