Habitat Has Site Blessing For Next House Build 12-06-2010

The latest Saginaw Habitat for Humanity project build at 1109 Chestnut in Saginaw had a site blessing early Monday morning.
A prayer and blessing kicked off the reconstruction work that will be done by longtime Habitat supporters from the United Methodist Churches.
The project is funded by the city of Saginaw and was deconstructed down to the wall studs. Officials said it is now being rebuilt to Energy Star standards, using Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds and volunteer labor.
The new home buyers have already completed their 400-hour sweat-equity requirements, but said they will continue to contribute volunteer labor.
Saginaw Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated 158 houses since its founding in 1987.
