Rockers: Thanks To Wally, It's Christmas Always 12-10-2010

What does a rock band from Detroit and the late Wally Bronner have in common? The love of the Christmas season.
Rockers the Hard Lessons released their new single, "Wally Bronner (Christmas Always)," and it’s already becoming a hit on YouTube.
In just a few short weeks, the song written as a dedication to Bronner has already generated close to 6,000 hits.

The catchy punk song features high-energy lyrics like “Wally Bronner built a building built on a holiday -- Little Bavaria's where Santa's now parking his sleigh,” and “Now that Jesus came to Michigan, he's gonna stay.”
Officials at Bronner’s say it’s a great way to honor the man who made the world’s largest Christmas store possible.
"It was a total surprise," said Wally’s daughter Katie. "They really captured the true meaning of Bronner’s and of my father."
The music video was shot and edited by the Hard Lessons on the their way home from a recent trip to Frankenmuth.
They say they plan to return to Bronner’s to present members of the Bronner family with a framed copy of the recording.
