First Warn 5 Forecast: Winter Storm Coming 12-11-2010

Here's the latest Winter Storm Watch statement from the National Weather Service office in Detroit:
A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TRACK THROUGH THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. MODERATE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVERNIGHT ON SATURDAY...BECOMING HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY.
SNOWFALL TOTALS SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 6 TO 9 INCHES FROM THE M-59 CORRIDOR NORTH TO THE SAGINAW VALLEY. LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL RAMP UP SUNDAY NIGHT BRINGING ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS TO THE THUMB REGION.
IN ADDITION...NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE SUNDAY TO 20 TO 25 MPH AND WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW. SOME FLUCTUATION IN THE TRACK OF THIS STORM SYSTEM REMAINS POSSIBLE AND WILL HAVE AN EFFECT ON SNOWFALL TOTALS.
