Revised Budget Plan Eliminates 20 Flint Officers 12-14-2010

Twenty Flint police officers will be patrolling the streets for the last time Tuesday.
The layoff notices were issued two weeks ago following stalled negotiations between the city and police union, officials said.
Flint Mayor Dayne Walling wants the city’s six unions to reach double-digit concessions to help ease the city's projected $5 million deficit.
The latest round of pink slips leaves the city with 67 police officers.
On Monday, the city surpassed its homicide record from 24 years ago -- with 62 deaths.
WNEM TV5 will have a live report at noon with the latest developments.
