Organization Offers Up 50 Free Christmas Trees 12-20-2010

One Flint organization is coming through for those without the means to purchase a Christmas tree this season.
Carriage Town Ministries will have almost 50 live Christmas trees for distribution to those that need a tree for the Christmas holiday.
The group said the trees will be available on a first-come, first serve basis, starting at 10 a.m., Wednesday at 628 Garland St. in Flint.
The ministry said the trees were donated from local gentlemen who have a business with excess trees.
The group said it was the business men's wish to provide these trees, free of charge, to those that may be entering the Christmas season without a tree for the celebration.
For further information, the public is asked contact John Knickerbocker, development director at Carriage Town Ministries, at 810-233-8787, extension 11.
