Bay City Approves Sunday Morning Booze Sales 12-21-2010

The booze will be allowed to flow legally on Sunday mornings in Bay City.
The City Commission voted Monday night to rescind a decision not to allow Sunday morning liquor sales between 7 a.m. and noon.
The new law recently went into effect across the state, allowing municipalities to decide whether to allow Sunday morning alcohol sales.
Bay City decided to switch positions on the law after business owners approached city commission members asking them to reconsider their position.
Pinconning city officials also decided Tuesday to allow Sunday morning liquor sales. But the community of Essexville has decided to ban liquor sales on Sunday morning.
Mayor Russell Tanner told TV-5, “I think people should be going to church rather than getting more beer on Sunday morning.”
