Woman Still Recovering From Parking Lot Clash 12-22-2010

Witnesses and police said a woman ran over a fellow mother at an elementary school parking lot in September.
It’s been three months since 27-year-old Mariah King confronted another parent about what she called poor behavior and then ended up in a drug-induced coma in the hospital.
“Forgiveness is a blessing and I hope one day I can do that,” said King.
According to witnesses, King yelled at 22-year-old Veronica White for swearing at her own children in the parking lot of Neithercut Elementary School in Flint. It happened before the first bell. White told police that King punched her. There was a fist fight and then police said White jumped in her car and purposely ran King over.
King suffered a closed head injury and severe internal bruising.
“I deal with this every day. Every day I’m telling somebody the same story,” said King.
Her husband, Bill, has been her caretaker. “It definitely makes you look at life a lot differently. It can be gone in an instant,” said Bill King.
The Kings said they have accrued tens of thousands of dollars in hospital bills that their insurance won't pay for. Bill King hasn't been able to hold a job because his wife requires constant care. They have two 7-year-old girls, and they said money is tight.
Because the case is going to trial, Mariah King can’t comment on any specifics that she may remember about the altercation, but when asked if she would confront White again, she responds, “No, I wouldn’t do it again.”
Authorities said White has been charged with assault with intent to murder. She’s currently free on bond until her next court date.
TV5 also discovered that when White allegedly hit King, she was driving without a license.
Donations can be mailed to the Kings through a fund set up with Security Credit Union in Flint:
