First Warn 5 Weathercast: Snow Today, Tonight 1-11-2011

TV5 Meteorologists Mike Cameron and Catherine Bodak are following a low pressure system tracking just south of Michigan.
The system will bring us the potential for some scattered snow showers during the afternoon and through tonight.
Possible accumulations will range from about 1-3 inches across Mid-Michigan. Areas around Flint, as well as the tip of the thumb, could see up to 3-4 inches by Wednesday morning.
This also means some slippery road surfaces for the evening and morning commute.
For today, expect high temperatures to reach the upper 20s with lows tonight to drop into the upper teens.

By Wednesday, the snow will start to diminish as the low pressure system exits out of the Great Lakes region. We will tap into some cooler air by Thursday and Friday with a mix of sun and clouds in the forecast.
On those days, high temperatures will only reach the low to mid 20s with overnight lows in the single digits. Snow showers are expected to return over the weekend.
